Conference Talks

Sharing our knowledge and experiences around the world - even Macclesfield

We love being part of a community and make great efforts to share our knowledge with our fellow designers and developers by talking at conferences and meetups around the world.

As a small agency, we believe in collaborating with others to get the best results for our clients but to do that there has to be an open sharing of knowledge and as well as releasing code and design resources and blogging regularly we talk at conferences.

What do we talk about?

Pete speaks regularly on a range of topics, primarily Umbraco development but has also speaks passionately about the practical side of project and business management.

He has traveled around the Europe and the US speaking at Umbraco uWestFest in Las Vegas 2014 and Orlando 2015 and has delivered well received talks at both Umbraco Codgarden 13, 14 & 15.

Personal highlight so far was talking on the hallowed ground that is the Royal Institute stage to discuss the benefits to building a side project during Prime Conf 2014. That was a massive honor and great fun.

James is relatively new to speaking but is slowly and surely finding his feet with selected talks including his first talk in front of 150 people at Hybrid Conference in 2013, Digital Barn and DotYork.

His focus at the moment is on how we manage and improve design and sales on our Cutting Edge Knives business.

Fantastic, humble, humorous, candid talk from @welcomebrand at @dot_york—great start.

Some great talks at #DotYork today but the one that inspired me most was @welcomebrand’s opener.

It’s been running around my head all day.
