Aircon emergency, gaffer tape to the rescue!

Even though it has been raining in sunny Huddersfield all week (no surprises there) it has also been silly hot here in the office. We do have one aircon unit hanging around from the old office but its not enough time for some drastic action....bring me the gaffer tape!

We do have one aircon unit hanging around from the old office but
its not enough time for some drastic action....bring me the gaffer
tape! (cue
A-team music...)
We bought a second aircon unit from B&Q but the only place
to pipe the air out of is the window James sits under and there was
only 1m of piping with the unit. Time for some cunning...
Two length of flue tubing followed, which lead to the obvious
"Danger
Will Robinson!" robot arms gag from James, our creative
director ladies and gentlemen...

"Trade size" gaffer tape and 10 minutes messing around and the
results:

Not a bad bit of handy man hackery and instant results, air temp
has dropped by 5 degrees already and still falling. Cool developers
are happy developers (unless its winter...)
The land lord is away on his holidays but on his return we will
be discussing a longer term fix of going through the wall. Until
then cool office air for the win!
Problem solving, thats what we do.
